Truck accident kills 9, injures 5 in central Vietnam



The accident occurred at 3.50am, halfway down Pu Uot Mountain, in Binh Chuan Commune, Con Cuong District. The truck fell into the valley, immediately killing 7, leaving 7 others seriously injured. They were rushed to the hospital for treatment.

According to Lo Thi Kiem, Director of Quy Hop General Hospital, 2 of the people have already died, while the other 5 have been transferred to Nghe An General Hospital.




The accident took place during heavy rains in Nghe An. In addition to wood, the truck was carrying 13 people, in addition to the driver, from Tuong Duong District to Quy Hop District.

Shortly after the accident, local authorities sent a rescue force composed of police and military.

Police are investigating the case.
